Web Hosting

Bluehost – All of my websites are hosted on bluehost. It’s incredibly easy to get your site running using their service, especially with their one-click WordPress installation. Bluehost is a great option for your first website or if you need to host multiple websites. You can host multiple domains without needing to pay more for hosting, and their customer service is great!

Phone Service

Sideline – Sideline gives you a free 2nd number for you smartphone. It uses your existing carrier network and minutes, so it works anywhere your cell phone does. This is a great option for someone who wants/needs a second number for their business but doesn’t want to pay for a second line or keep a separate phone. If you decide to get the pro features, it only costs $2.99/month.

Marketing

AWeber – AWeber is a tool for sending email newsletters. If you have a business, especially online, a newsletter is an essential way to connect with your customers. AWeber is easy to use because of its many video tutorials and drag & drop email builder. I love using AWeber because it makes it easy for me to create and send new messages in a matter of minutes while giving me great feedback about my email campaigns.

Recruiting/Hiring

Zip Recruiter – Hiring can take up a lot of time with little guarantee that you’ll find the right person. Zip Recruiter takes some of that burden off you by enabling you to post your job listing to over 100 job sites at once. It makes it much easier to find applicants and manage each part of your hiring process. You can even customize your Zip Recruiter profile to fit your company’s branding.

Productivity

Evernote – Evernote is an incredibly powerful note-taking and organization tool. It’s simple to use, can record any kind of note, and is available on virtually any platform. It integrates with many other apps to enhance your productivity. Use it to take notes, store drawings or photos, store business cards, create presentations, and more. Evernote is the #1 productivity app I use every day.

Bottomline – This app is great for anyone with a small business or who is involved in sales of some sort. As anyone in these professions know, tracking your sales and client interactions is important, especially as you gain more customers. This app makes that easy for only $25/ year. After over a year of searching, I stumbled upon this app which met my needs of being cloud-based, cheap, and gave decent reports by sales source, clients, and more. This is the CRM tool I use.

Smart Passive Income focuses on ways of generating passive income – that is, creating streams of income that you don’t have to participate in every single day in order to make money. If you want to generate passive income, this is the place to start. It’s filled with many useful interviews, lessons, and more about how to make systems that work for you.

EO Fire with John Lee Dumas – John Lee Dumas interviews different entrepreneurs about their businesses in each episode of this daily podcast. They talk about their failures and successes, strengths and weaknesses, and more. This is a great podcast for anyone looking for inspiration, tips, and resources for your business.

Zen Founder – Zen Founder puts focus on personal challenges you may face in your business and talks about how you can overcome them to have the life you want. This podcast is all about creating work-life balance.
