This website normally updates on Fridays.

Ralston

I’m a tutor and entrepreneur who’s starting his own journey to success. I started this website as a way to encourage others and give them the right tools to meet their goals. I do this by sharing my story, the things I’ve learned, and the things I hope to do. It’s my hope that you’ll learn from my successes and failures and use that knowledge as a way to jumpstart, or continue, your path to personal success.

I’ve always been successful in one way or the other. I’m the type of person that has and idea and goes for it. A lot of the time, I fail, but my persistence leads me to many new and wonderful opportunities along the way. Because of this persistence (and let’s not kid ourselves, a bit of luck), I’ve been fortunate to do things many people dream of doing. I’ve traveled the world, met incredible people, and achieved a lot of what I set out to do in my life. Because of this, though, you get to benefit from hearing stories from all sorts of perspectives from my friends and myself.

I’ve always been driven. When I was younger, I got my start as an entrepreneur selling art I would create in person and online. I learned much about business just through interacting with others on the web. Over the years, I grew my knowledge and tested various ideas on forums or in games. In school, I became very involved in Latin and Music. I sang in multiple choruses, quartets, and more, and was involved in many singing competitions at local and state levels. In Latin, I was heavily involved in the Junior Classical League, where I held a state office for some time and won many Latin competitions.

After high school, I learned much more about seriously managing my business and self-employment when I began doing direct sales. In that position, I soon became a manager and began managing teams of salespeople part-time while attending college. It was then that I had my first big failure, which caused me to re-evaluate many things in my life. I eventually decided that tutoring would fit my style of doing business better. I wanted to move towards an area where I could offer a more direct benefit to others. This website is an extension of that same drive – I want to help others become more successful because I don’t believe there’s enough practical discussion around the topics that will lead to long-term success. This is especially the case with personal finance, an area where I think there’s a great lack of education. Often you hear the same stories over and over, and I want to be a part of the movement that breaks that train of conventional thinking.

Me in the SaharaIn my free time, I do many things. I enjoy all types of artistic endeavors, and regularly do photography, drawing, writing, and more. I travel when possible, and I’m very close to completing one of my life goals, which is to travel to all 7 continents (So far, I’ve traveled in 12 different countries on 4 different continents). I’m also a huge fan of audiobooks and podcasts, easily listening to 20+ hours of audio throughout the week.

I’d love for you to join me on the journey to success. You can keep up with what I’m doing here, and you can keep in touch with the newsletter or by facebook, twitter, or email. I’m an open book.
